That is what I have left to hit the 1000 miles for the year I had set out to do for this year. At times I wish I had not set this goal but now that it is almost over I am glad I did. I will not do the same for next year. No running mile goal, but I will have triathlon related goals that I will discuss in a later post.
Goal --- 1000 miles
Ran --- 941 miles (you are not seeing things I did fix this)
Left --- 59 miles
Days left in 2007 --- 19
Avg needed per day --- 3.105263 miles
I will do this.

Well thats doable. I would have to banka few extra miles to ward off snow days myself, but thats my own little OCD tendencies talking.
Good luck with reaching your goal. Sure you'll do it.
I look forward to reading about your triathlon goals :)

Good luck with your goal. 1K for the year is an accomplishment.
Good for you, what a great goal!
Totally do-able.....way to push yourself to your goal!!!!!
can't wait to hear about your tri goals!
you can do it. heck, just do 39 miles tonight.
I'm hoping for 800 miles.
I think your math is a bit wrong:
(1 000 - 961) / 19 = 2.05263158
Even better huh? :) You got this!! And... Congratulations on a huge number of miles for this year. :)
1000 miles down, how many more to go? Great job!
Wow, that's great! That's kinda freaky that when you divided up the miles to do for each day, it ended up being a 5K! Not sure why that's freaky to me, but it is :)
I know you'll get there Dan. That's a lotta miles. What an accomplishemnt!
Hey that's awesome! Your post made me wonder about my own annual running mileage so far and I'm at 972 miles and am gonna go for 1000!
GO GO GO DAN!!!
wow, in the last 3 years that i've been keeping a mileage tally, it's gotten higher every year, but still not close to a 1000. i'll hit about 600 for '07.
Dude.
You are the MAN.
I ain't nothing compared to you...oops.
Dan -- I'm rooting for you. A 5k per day is doable. I'm with J-Wim -- I'd bank a few both for snow and just for days when I can't/don't want to run.
